Biography

Laura Forni is a Senior Scientist at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) in the California office in the United States. She received her graduate studies in natural resource economics from the University of California, Davis. In the last twelve years at SEI, her work has focused on supporting institutions to formulate policies related to water resource planning at the basin level in Latin America and California. In Latin America, she has supported institutions in developing management tools using the Water Assessment and Planning (WEAP) software, such as the project in Quito working with the water utility EPMAPS. In California, her work focused on hydro-economic modelling and management support tools such as creating Decision Support Systems platforms.
